McCarthy Architecture recently worked with Deanan Manufacturing in a continued expansion of their popcorn production facility in Wylie.  This phase II expansion serves as their largest to date and consists of a large bagging area with high headroom along with a packing/loading area and two floors of offices overlooking the production floor.  A pre-engineered metal building was selected to provide for the high open spans required to accommodate the bagging equipment and building systems.  Careful attention was also placed on creating an environment which was sanitary for food production, including open hand washing stations for employee visibility and scrubbable surfaces throughout.
