McCarthy Architecture was recently selected by Cityscape Schools to develop a five phase master plan for their Buckner Preparatory campus in Dallas. The campus is presently in its early years of operation, and significant growth in both student population and grade levels are anticipated over the next decade. The first phase consists of renovations to create new classrooms and administration offices within an existing two-story facility on the site which previously served as a church. Later phases will be comprised of additional classrooms, science labs, a cafeteria, a gymnasium, a black box theatre, locker rooms, restrooms, and support spaces. Throughout the development of the master plan, McCarthy Architecture met extensively with the school’s leadership to ensure that the master plan is adaptable as the school's needs could change over the coming years.
